A masterclass 135 from Ben Stokes has given England a thrilling one wicket victory, and helped to level the Ashes Series.
In the chase of an England record 359 at Headingley, the home side still needed 73 to win when Stokes was joined by last man Jack Leach.
Stokes then launched a stunning solo assault that included some harsh treatment of Australia’s bowling attack which had earlier caused problems for England’s batsmen.
Despite some close calls at in the game, Stokes was eventually able to take his side to 362/9.
Things are now tied at 1-1 with two matches to play.
England however must win the series in order to claim the Ashes Urn, since a draw will see Australia retain it.
The fourth Test starts at Old Trafford on September 4th.
