Steve Smith has replaced Virat Kohli as the #2 ranked Test batsman, following the Sydney Test where he was the Player of the Match.

Smith’s scores of 131 and 81 at the SCG took him past Kohli, who returned home from Australia after the first Test for the birth of his first child.

The #1 spot meanwhile continues to be occupied by Kane Williamson, who consolidated his position with a score of 238 in the Christchurch Test against Pakistan.

Williamson is now 919 rating points – the highest ever by a New Zealand player.

Meanwhile the West Indies’ Jason Holder dropped one place in the All-Rounders Test Rankings, going from #2 to #3.

He was replaced in the second spot by India’s Ravindra Jadeja.

Ben Stokes is unchanged as the #1 Test All-Rounder.

There was no movement at the top of the Test Bowling Rankings, however Josh Hazlewood did progress significantly, cracking into the Top 5.
