T&T Red Force are Super50 champions after a comprehensive win over Guyana Jaguars in the final.

Lendl Simmons made 146 – his 7th List A ton – as T&T put up 362/5 in 50 overs, batting first.

    He was supported by Evin Lewis’ 57, Darren Bravo’s 47, Nicholas Pooran’s 39, Kieron Pollard’s 23 and Denesh Ramdin’s 27 not out.

Simmons’ ton is the highest individual score in a Super50 final, while the team’s total is also a record for a Super50 final.

Although he took two wickets, Romario Shepherd got the brunt of the T&T attack as he went for 105 runs in 10 overs.

Ravi Rampaul continued his form with the ball for the Red Force as he breezed through the Guyana batting for his 2nd 4-wicket haul in as many games.

There was some lower order fight by Guyana as Raymon Reifer made 97 not out, however, they were bowled out for 210.

Jayden Seales grabbed three wickets, Anderson Phillip took two and Akeal Hosein took the remaining scalp.

T&T, led by Kieron Pollard, have won the tournament by winning all seven of their matches.

Only last year, Pollard completed a similar feat when he led an unbeaten Trinbago Knight Riders to the 2020 CPL title.

This is T&T’s first Super50 win since the 2016 tournament where Barbados were defeated in the final in Port of Spain.
