Shannon Gabriel has been added to the West Indies Test squad for the England series after proving his fitness during the warm ups.
The Trinbagonian fast bowler was part of the reserve squad and the two warm ups marked his return from ankle surgery.
Lead Selector Roger Harper says Gabriel shown that he is fit and ready and will add experience, firepower and potency to the bowling unit.
The 32-year-old bowled in three innings across the warm ups and grabbed eight wickets for 122 runs.
West Indies travel to Southampton on Friday 3rd July and the first Test will be played from Wednesday 8th July at 6am T&T time daily.
However, despite his century during the warm ups, T&T’s Joshua Da Silva remains with the reserves.
