Former West Indies captain Daren Sammy has been named Head Coach of the St Lucia Kings for the upcoming CPL season.
Sammy has played critical on and off-field roles in the bringing St Lucia to the finals of the 2020 and 2021 tournament.
He captained the St Lucia franchise before going on to be an off-the-pitch mentor, ambassador and assistant coach.
Satish Menon, CEO of KPH Dream Cricket, which owns the franchise, says Sammy was a natural choice for the coaching position given his natural skills both as a player and a leader.
The Kings are scheduled to play four CPL home matches in St Lucia from 7th September 2022 to 11th September 2022.
