Former West Indies captain Daren Sammy has expressed disappointment over the abandonment of the New Zealand tour of Pakistan.
New Zealand Cricket today announced that it was calling off the matches in Pakistan over a “government security alert.”
The Pakistan Cricket Board said the decision was unilateral and assured that it has foolproof security arrangements for all visiting teams.
Sammy, who has spent years in Pakistan with the Peshawar Zalmi T20 franchise, took to Twitter to weigh in.
He said the last six years playing and visiting Pakistan has been one of his most enjoyable experiences and added that he always felt safe.
