T&T U-19 Captain Shalini Samaroo and Vice-captain Shunelle Sawh are part of a provisional pool of players from which the West Indies U-19 World Cup squad will be picked.
Ahead of the January 2023 tournament in South Africa, 22 of the best Under-19 women’s players from across the region have been shortlisted.
This follows the West Indies Rising Stars Women’s U-19 Championship in Trinidad back in July.
15 of the 22 players selected played for West Indies in a five-match U-19 T20I series against the USA in Florida in August which went 4-1 in favour of the hosts.
The West Indies women’s U-19s are due to have a training camp and trial matches in Trinidad in October, before an away series against India in November as part of World Cup preparations.
