Road Safety World Series: WI Legends lose to South Africa


    The West Indies legends have lost their 2nd match in the Road Safety World Series against South Africa Legends.

    Darren Ganga top scored as WI Legends made 143/8 in 20 overs with 30 from Ricardo Powell and 20s from Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Carl Hooper.

    Despite Tino Best’s 2/12 in 4 overs and a wicket a-piece for Adam Sanford and Sulieman Benn, South Africa got to their target in 18.3 overs with 6 wickets in hand.

    The series is being held between legend teams from India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Australia and West Indies to raise awareness about road safety.

    West Indies lost their opening match of the series against India by 7 wickets despite a half-century from Shiv Chanderpaul.

    After these two losses, WI sit at the bottom of the table – Australia are 4th after one game, Sri Lanka are 3rd after two matches, South Africa are 2nd with one win from one match and India are top of the pack after winning their first two games.
