Regional Four-Day: Red Force lose again


    The T&T Red Force have been defeated as their sour start to the Regional Four-Day competition continues.

    T&T were bowled out for just 96 chasing a target of 342 against the Leewards Hurricanes with Jeremy Solozano top scoring with 42.

    Rahkeem Cornwall and Alzarri Joseph both grabbed 4 wickets while Sheno Berridge took the remaining 2.

    This is the Red Force’s 2nd loss in as many matches after being defeated by the Windwards Volcanoes in their tournament opener.

    They were bowled out while chasing in that match as well with Shane Shillingford taking 12 wickets in the game.

    Before the T&T game, Shillingford’s action was reported as suspect however, it wasn’t until the game was completed that he was banned from bowling in domestic cricket.

    Cricket West Indies says Shillingford will remain suspended until his action is found to be legal.

    He is expected to undergo remedial work supervised by the Windward Islands.

    This is the third time Shillingford’s bowling action has been placed under the microscope.

    The other two instances were in 2010 and 2013.
