Rain has impacted the 1st Test between the West Indies and Sri Lanka in Galle.

The final session and a large portion of the second session were washed out on Day 3.

Also, despite a couple of good knocks in the middle order, the West Indies are still trailing Sri Lanka by 162 runs at stumps.

Sri Lanka posted 386 all out, and the West Indies are nine wickets down for 224 runs.

Top scorers so far are: Kyle Mayers (45), Kraigg Brathwaite (41) and Jason Holder (36).

Praveen Jayawickrama and Ramesh Mendis each have three wickets.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, today’s rain interruption means play will begin 15 minutes earlier on the fourth and fifth days, providing the showers stay away.
