West Indies vice-captain Nicholas Pooran says the team has identified and is working on shortcomings, ahead of the T20 series against South Africa.
Speaking to media today, the Trinbagonian wicketkeeper-batsman notes that confidence is high in the camp, especially with the return of senior players.
The 18-member provisional squad includes the likes of Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle and Andre Russell with Kieron Pollard as captain.
However, Pooran says there are areas being focused on in training and he hopes to see this bear fruit in the upcoming series.
Pooran says the players are also relishing the chance to reconnect and prepare for the T20 World Cup due to be hosted by the BCCI.
West Indies will host South Africa for five T20Is in Grenada on June 26th, 27th and 29th and July 1st and 3rd.
