Nicholas Pooran struck his second 60+ score in a row but his innings was not enough to help Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Delhi Capitals.

SRH were set 208 to chase after the Capitals were powered to 207/3 in 20 overs by David Warner’s 92 not out from 58 and 67 not out from 35 by Rovman Powell.

Pooran (62) and Aiden Markram (42) tried to steady the ship after three early wickets in the chase but regular wickets kept the required rate just out of reach.

Eventually, Sunrisers would end on 186/8 in 20 overs with Khaleel Ahmed taking 3 wickets.

Warner was named Player of the Match for his scintillating knock which has helped Delhi to 10 points in 10 games.

They’re just behind fourth-placed RCB with a game in hand thanks to net-run-rate but level on points with SRH and Punjab Kings.
