Nicholas Pooran led from the front with an unbeaten 39-ball 74 as West Indies beat Bangladesh in the third T20I in Guyana.

Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first looking to level the series after a washed-out first game and a 35-run loss in the second.

Afif Hossain (50) and Litton Das (49) provided the required impetus to take the visitors to 163/5 in 20 overs, while Hayden Walsh led the West Indies bowling with 2/25.

The West Indies chase hit some early snags and fell to 43/3 in 6.1 overs but then came an 85-run partnership between Pooran and Kyle Mayers who made 55.

Pooran’s ended proceedings with a straight six as West Indies reached 169/5 in 18.2 overs.

Pooran was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series.
