Pollard’s 2/8 and 15* help Mumbai beat Punjab Kings

    Kieron Pollard was among the runs and wickets as Mumbai Indians beat Nicholas Pooran and the Punjab Kings today.

    Batting first, Kings made 135/6 with a top score of 42 from Aiden Markram – Pooran made 2 and Chris Gayle made 1.

    Pollard took two wickets for eight runs in his lone over and his scalps were Gayle and KL Rahul.

    Mumbai lost some early wickets in their chase as Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav made just 8 and 0 respectively.

    Saurabh Tiwary and Hardik Pandya made 45 and 40 while Pollard pitched in with a cameo of 15 from 7 balls to help Mumbai to 137/4 in 19 overs.

    Mumbai stand in 5th place, level on points with KKR who sit in 4th with a better net run rate.
