Despite South Africa’s 2-0 Test series win, the West Indies T20I team is confident ahead of its five games against the visitors starting tomorrow.
This assurance comes from skipper Kieron Pollard days after the Proteas wrapped up the red-ball leg of the tour with a 158-run win.
However, at a media interaction today, Pollard highlighted the differences between the T20Is and the Tests.
These T20Is are the start of a 15-match run of games before the T20 World Cup in October and Pollard said the team is aware of its strengths.
Pollard was also asked about the availability of spin-bowling allrounder Sunil Narine in the lead up to the T20 World Cup.
The first T20I bowls off at 2pm at the Grenada National Stadium.
Meanwhile, the full squad for the first two T20Is has been announced. See the 13-member line up here: WI SQUAD – 1st & 2nd T20Is
