New Zealand has racked up 294/6 by stumps on Day 1 of their 2nd Test against the West Indies in Wellington.
Henry Nicholls led the scoring, with an unbeaten 117.
Shannon Gabriel meanwhile has so far taken 3/57, while Chemar Holder – who is making his Test debut – has 2/65.
Also debuting for the Windies is T&T wicketkeeper/batsman Joshua Da Silva.
The Kiwis are without skipper Kane Williamson who is on paternity leave.
