Mohammed surprised by inclusion on ICC Women’s ODI Team of the Decade

    T&T and West Indies women’s cricketer Anisa Mohammed is surprised to have been named on the ICC’s Women’s ODI Team of the Decade.

    Mohammed is one of just two West Indian named on the team with the other being Stafanie Taylor.

    Taylor and Deandra Dottin were named on the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Decade.

    According to the TTCB, during the period under review by the ICC, Mohammed took 116 of her 151 ODI wickets in 87 matches.

    She averaged just below 20 and is fourth on the all-time list of wicket takers.

    The ICC awards were announced on Monday:

    • Rashid Khan is ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Decade
    • Ellyse Perry is ICC Women’s T20I Cricketer of the Decade
    • Kyle Coetzer is ICC Men’s Associate Cricketer of the Decade
    • Kathryn Bryce is ICC Women’s Associate Cricketer of the Decade
    • MS Dhoni wins ICC Spirit of Cricket Award of the Decade

    T&T’s Kieron Pollard and Jamaica’s Chris Gayle made it onto the ICC Men’s T20I Team of The Decade.
