Manchester City has postponed today’s Premier League clash with Everton as more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed.

A statement from City says these positives, from the latest round of testing, are in addition to the four already reported on Christmas Day which includes Gabriel Jesus and Kyle Walker.

The club notes that there is now a risk that the virus could spread further amongst the squad, staff and beyond as the security of the bubble has been compromised.

It says the positive cases will go into self-isolation and the training ground at City Football Academy will be closed.

The rest of the bubble will be tested before any decision is made on a resumption of training.
