Manchester United captain Harry Maguire says the players also need to take part of the burden for the poor results which led to the sacking of Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Following Solskjaer’s departure from Old Trafford, Michael Carrick has been placed in temporary charge ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Villareal.

Maguire said, “The results recently haven’t been good enough. It’s a results business and, unfortunately, Ole has paid the price for that. Obviously, we’ve got to take a big responsibility for that as well.”

United and Carrick go to Villareal knowing that a win will secure the club a spot in the Champions League Round of 16 with a game to spare.
