In their first IPL season, Gujarat Titans have become the first of the pack to qualify for the playoff spot.
The Titans were led by Shubman Gill’s 63 not out from 49 balls and Rashid Khan’s 4/24 in 3.5 overs against fellow newcomers Lucknow Super Giants today.
First, Gill’s knock took the Titans to 144/4 batting first before Rashid’s haul helped bowl out LSG for just 82 – 62 runs short.
The West Indians involved in today’s clash were LSG’s Jason Holder (1/41 in four overs and one run with the bat) and Alzarri Joseph (0/14 in two overs).
The victory, Titans’ ninth in 12 games, has taken them to 18 points at the top of the table, while Super Giants remain in second with 16 points.
