Euro Club Index: AC Milan ‘most improved’ over past year

    A sports analysis company has named Italian football club AC Milan as the most improved over the 12 months in its latest “Euro Club Index”.

    According to Gracenote’s website, the index is a proprietary ranking of all European football clubs based on competition results over a four year period.

    Milan, it says, has improved by 531 points to move from 47th at the beginning of 2019 to 20th.

    The club has been spurred on by the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has scored 10 goals this season to help them to the top of Serie A.

    Champions League holders Bayern Munich are top of the Euro Club Index.
