West Indies Test captain Jason Holder has been signed by defending Big Bash League champions Sydney Sixers on a three-game deal.
The all-rounder will fly to Hobart later this month after the two match Test series against New Zealand.
The 29-year-old will be available for the Sixers’ December 20th clash with the Adelaide Strikers in Hobart, the December 26th fixture against the Melbourne Stars and the December 29th matchup with the Melbourne Renegades.
Holder is excited to join the BBL saying, “I’ve wanted to for a few years now and this year I have the opportunity to come in and make some appearances and hopefully do a bit for the Sixers.”
The Sixers now have four international stars on their roster for BBL|10 – Holder, fellow West Indian Carlos Brathwaite, Tom Curran and James Vince.
Holder’s signing comes after a good IPL campaign for SunRisers Hyderabad where in seven games he scored 66 runs and took 14 wickets.
