CWI: negative PCR tests returned

Cricket West Indies says all 152 persons tested for COVID-19 yesterday have returned negative results.

Yesterday’s ODI between the West Indies and Australia was suspended before a ball was bowled, after a non-playing member of the West Indies squad tested positive for the virus.

Following this, all members of both teams and coaching staff, as well as match officials, event staff and TV production crew were tested back at the hotel with everyone being in room isolation since.

Following confirmation of the negative results, CWI will now hold meetings with Cricket Australia, the Barbados Cricket Association, and Government of Barbados to discuss the resumption of the ODI Series at Kensington Oval.
