Anisa Mohammed has declined an invitation to travel to England to play in next month’s T20I Series.
According to Cricket West Indies, all players were given the option to decline selection for any Covid-19 related concern.
Mohammed was the only potential selectee to do so, and the CWI says it fully respects her decision.
The 18-member squad features 14 players that participated at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia earlier this year.
Kaysia Schultz is the only uncapped player in the squad.
The two sides will play five T20 Internationals from September 21st to 30th at the Incora County Ground, Derby.
The touring party, who will all be tested for COVID-19 this week, are scheduled to fly to England on a private charter on August 30th.
The West Indies Women’s squad will live, train and play in a “bio-secure” environment during the four weeks of the tour.
