Chris Gayle will return to the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots for the 2021 Caribbean Premier League.
The announcement was made today by CPL on social media.
Gayle previously suited up for the Patriots in 2017 when they reached the final and lost to Trinbago Knight Riders and 2018 when they were knocked out in Qualifier Two, also to TKR.
The Jamaican returned to his home franchise, the Tallawahs in 2019 for what was a disappointing season where they finished bottom of the six-team table.
Gayle was then signed by St Lucia Zouks for last year’s tournament but opted not to play due to personal reasons.
Speaking of the Zouks, they will have the services of South Africa’s Faf du Plessis for the 2021 tournament.
This will be his second CPL stint after having played for the Patriots in 2016.
Also, Shakib al Hasan has returned to the Jamaica Tallawahs after representing them in 2016 and 2017.
