Cyclist Teniel Campbell and runner Jereem Richards have been named the T&T Olympic Committee’s Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year for 2022.
The awards were revealed yesterday evening via a Facebook live event where Richards was also named Sports Personality of the Year.
Cyclist Nicholas Paul was given the People’s Choice Award.
Another cyclist, Phoebe Sandy, was named Junior Sportswoman of the Year while swimmer Nikoli Blackman was given the Junior Sportsman of the Year Award.
Two awards were also given to persons for their contribution to sports.
The Future is Female Award was given to journalist Rachael Thompson-King and the Alexander B. Chapman Award was given to Maureen Craig Rousseau who is on the International Hockey Federation executive board.
