Brooks and Cornwall put West Indies in charge of Afghanistan Test

    Shamarh Brooks celebrates his 1st Test century

    Shamarh Brooks hit his maiden Test century and Rahkeem Cornwall completed a 10-wicket match haul as the West Indies moved closer to victory over Afghanistan.

    Brooks made 111 and was supported by John Campbell’s 55 and Shane Dowrich’s 42 as the regional team made 277 all out in reply to 187.

    Batting a 2nd time, Afghanistan were reduced to 109/7 at stumps on Day 2 – a lead of just 19.

    Cornwall, playing only his 2nd Test, took 3/41 to add to his 1st innings tally of 7/75.
