West Indies all-rounder Hayley Matthews produced a terrific spell of bowling to help set up a win for her Loughborough Lightning in their Super League clash with Surrey Stars.
Her offspinners got her two wickets for just 12 runs in 4 overs as Surrey were restricted to 120/7 in 20 overs.
Matthews’ two scalps came via stumpings as her flight and guile bamboozled Lizelle Lee and Natalie Sciver.
With the bat, the West Indian was less effective, making just 5 before being caught off the bowling of Mady Villiers.
She wasn’t the only misfire with the bat as Loughborough’s first three batters made single figures.
However, Mignon du Preez (70*) and Georgia Adams (34) arrested the slide and took the Lightning to a 7-wicket win.
Table as at 2pm on August 15th.
