West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite says his newest teammate, Jeremy Solozano, is doing good after a blow to the helmet while fielding against Sri Lanka.

Solozano, who was taken to hospital following the incident during Sri Lanka’s innings, has since been replaced in the game by Shai Hope.

Speaking at the close of Day Two, Brathwaite said it is a tough situation but that the team is supporting the player 100%.

Cricket West Indies also said that, after a 24-hour observation, Solozano would return to the team hotel as he has been diagnosed with a concussion.

His replacement has been approved by Match Referee, Ranjan Madugalle, in accordance with the ICC concussion substitution rule.
