Ravi Shastri has been reappointed as India head coach by all members of the BCCI Cricket Advisory Committee.
He will now remain in charge of the senior men’s team with his new contract extending up to the 2021 T20 World Cup in India.
The committee spent hours today interviewing five candidates after Phil Simmons pulled out of the race.
Committee member Kapil Dev says Shastri beat Mike Hesson and Tom Moody to the job as, after all calculations, they were the top three candidates.
