Former Jamaica head coach Andre Coley has been named interim Head Coach of the West Indies for games against Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Coley is tasked with overseeing the two-Test tour of Zimbabwe from January 28th to February 16th.
He will then continue at the helm as the West Indies go to South Africa for a multi-format tour of two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is from February 21st to March 28th.
CWI meanwhile confirmed that the contracts of Assistant Coaches Roddy Estwick and Monty Desai have ended.
Coley, a former Jamaica wicketkeeper/batter and coach, is currently Head Coach of the CWI Academy programme.
He also coached the West Indies U19 and was assistant coach for West Indies during the 2016 T20 World Cup win.
His appointment as Interim WI Head Coach comes after Phil Simmons stepped down the post after a disappointing T20 World Cup and the subsequent tour of Australia which produced two Test defeats.
