Despite a sparkling 50 from Shai Hope today, the West Indies succumbed to 29 run loss to Afghanistan.
That result means a 2-1 loss in the T20I series.
It was a confidence boosting comeback for the Afghans, who were first whitewashed in the ODI series and lost the first T20 match.
Batting first in today’s encounter, they made 156/8, with a magnificent 79 from Rahmanullah Gurbaz.
Sheldon Cottrell, Kesrick Williams and Keemo Paul took two wickets apiece.
The Windies’ reply however was another forgettable innings.
Only 4 batsmen got into double figures, with 52 from Hope and 24 from Evin Lewis.
In the end, they could only get to 127/7 in their 20 overs.
Both sides will now turn their attention to the single Test match which will begin on November 27th in Lucknow.
After that, the Windies will take on India in a three match T20I series beginning on December 6th.
