Young: No decision taken to reopen borders

    The Government has shut down a rumour stating that a decision has been taken to reopen T&T’s borders.

    National Security Minister Stuart Young issued a statement on Thursday evening saying those reports are is false and misleading.

    He stated “there has been absolutely NO DECISION with respect to the opening of the borders of Trinidad and Tobago and any report to the contrary is completely false and misleading.”

    The Minister added that “the Government continues to be guided by expert public health advice and will announce any future decisions with respect to the response to COVID-19 and the management of this pandemic as it has done since January 2020 via official government announcements”
