Perenco workers failed to quarantine for 14 days before going offshore to work on the company’s platforms according to National Security Minister Stuart Young.
Mr Young today, at a media conference held by the Prime Minister, spoke on the matter following several COVID-19 cases at the facilities.
He says there were some shortcomings on the part of T&T nationals employed by the oil and gas company.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh says several measures have been taken to sanitize the facilities to allow work to resume.
