A Woman Police Constable will appear in court on Monday, charged with Assault by Beating against a male relative as well as Unlawful Assault against a female relative.
The male victim reported to police that on September 3rd, he was at his home with the accused and other persons when they got into a heated argument.
He left and retuned later that night when another argument ensued, during which the accused allegedly slammed a door against his hand and hit him several times across the back with a chair.
During the same incident, another relative, aged 58, intervened to quell the disturbance but a cup of cold water was thrown on her.
Both victims filed a report and the suspect was charged on Wednesday.
