WASA says work will be carried out to address a water supply issue currently affecting Queen Street in Port of Spain, between Charlotte and Henry Streets.

The Authority says various investigative works were conducted to determine the source of the problem and the most appropriate solution.

To this end, a section of the distribution pipeline along Queen Street was identified for replacement, since there is a restriction of the water flow.

WASA says it has been mobilizing and obtaining the necessary approvals to replace the pipeline segment tonight – Wednesday 29th March, 2023.

It adds that it has been in communication with representatives of the impacted businesses through the Downtown Owners and Merchants Association, who were previously informed that the works would be carried out this week.
