Members of the West Indies Women’s High-Performance training squad and coaching staff have received their first COVID-19 vaccinations.
The shots were administered to the 18 players and staff at the start of their month long camp in Antigua.
CWI’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Israel Dowlat said the Board is committed to assisting the vaccination drive across the region by raising awareness and helping to educate communities.
He adds that this will help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the West Indies as well.
Following the protocols established and agreed by CARPHA and the Ministry of Health of Antigua and Barbuda, the team will continue to live and train in a bio-secure bubble for the duration of the high-performance training camp.
