Watson Duke resigns as THA Deputy Chief Secretary

PDP Leader Watson Duke has announced his resignation as Deputy Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly.

The move comes one week after Farley Augustine and two others were removed as Deputy Leaders of the PDP.

Mr Augustine remains THA Chief Secretary however the tension between both men continues to grow.

In announcing his decision today, Mr Duke launched a stinging attack, accusing “Farley and friends” of childish games and of failing Tobagonians.

Also, despite resigning from his THA position, Mr Duke says he will continue to serve as an Assemblyman.

The very public feud between the two began after Mr Duke accused the THA of allegedly leaving a group of Tobagonian performers stranded in New York.
