Water disruption in Point Fortin due to emergency desal plant works


    Residents of parts of Point Fortin will be without pipe borne water tomorrow between 7am and 4pm, due to emergency works at the Point Fortin Desalination Plant.

    According to WASA, the works are being carried out by the owners of the facility, Seven Seas Water.

    Affected to be affected include: Point Fortin, Parry Lands, Cochrane, Brighton Cato, Harriman Park, Reservoir Hill, Salazar Trace, Egypt Village, Gonzales, Huberts Town, Lot 10, New Village and Clifton Hill.

    WASA notes that even after the plant returns to full operation, it may take up to 24 hours for supply to normalize to some areas.
