Water disruption in parts of Northeast Trinidad


    Several parts of Northwest Trinidad, including Port of Spain, are without water as WASA carries out emergency works.

    These mechanical repairs are taking place at the El Socorro Booster Station.

    The disruption, expected to run until 9pm today, is affecting areas including El Socorro, Barataria, Aranguez, Morvant, Laventille, Beetham Gardens, Laventille Road, Downtown Port-of-Spain, Belmont, East Dry River, St. James, Woodbrook, Cascade, St. Anns, Cocorite and Westmoorings.

    Also expected to be addressed by 9pm today are mechanical and electrical problems at the Navet Water Treatment Plant.

    This is affecting water supply to communities including: St Mary’s Village, Barrackpore, Moruga Road, Indian Walk, Hindustan, St Julien, Fairfield, New Grant, Princes Town, Indian Walk, Monkey Town, Piparo, Williamsville, Tableland, Brothers Road, Robert Village, Poole, Libertville, Biche and Rio Claro, Mon Stewart, Borde Narve, Retrench, Harmony Hall, Corinth, Reform, Ste. Madeline, Palmyra, Pleasantville, Friendship, Esperance, Golconda, Rochard Douglas, Khanhai South and North, Oropouche South Trace, Lower Rock Road, Rochard Road, Clarke Road, Quarry Road and Morne Diablo.
