Heavy rainfall has led to a water disruption in parts of El Dorado and Tacarigua.
According to WASA, the interruption is due to silted raw water intake, following heavy rainfall yesterday.
De-silting works are currently underway and are expected to be completed by 6pm today.
Areas affected include:
- Tacarigua from Richard Street to Dixon Street, inclusive of side streets
- Paradise Gardens East and West
- Vista Heights
- Crown Street
- Caura Royal Road
- El Dorado Gardens
- Goya Street
- Eastern Main Road
- Madoo Hill, College Road
- El Dorado Road
- Balgobin Street
Persons are advised that following the resumption of operations, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas.
