WASA WTPs affected by heavy rains


    WASA water treatment plants in Northeast Trinidad and in Tobago have been affected by heavy rainfall.

    According to the company, production has been impacted due to clogged intake screens caused by high river turbidity.

    Areas affected include La Pastora, parts of Arima, Santa Rosa, Tumpuna Road, parts of Malabar, Toco, Balandra and Surrey Village in Trinidad and Richmond, Goodwood, Goldsborough, Pembroke, Glamorgan, Belle Garden, Kendal Argyle, Roxborough, Betsy’s Hope, Louis D’or, Mason Hall and Moriah in Tobago.

    WASA assures it is making every effort to return the affected facilities to service as soon as possible.
