WASA to auction off customers’ properties to recover arrears

WASA currently has a list of 16 properties, which it intends to sell if the owners do not repay its debt to the authority.

In a public notice, WASA says it intends to avail itself of the options for the recovery of rates and charges which are in arrears, including issuing Warrants for Sale.

Premises with such arrears will then be sold at Public Auction.

To avoid this, the property owners or occupiers are being asked to settle their arrears on their WASA accounts immediately.
