The water supply to some parts of Barrackpore was restored today, according to WASA, which says the resumption of supply will continue this evening and tonight.
In a media release, the authority says the information it provided yesterday remains the same, as service to Khanai Trace South and Jones Village returned today.
It says persons on the higher elevations of Khanai Trace will receive supply by this evening or tonight.
Meanwhile, WASA says the replacement of a pipeline, expected to improve service to Khanai Trace South and environs will be completed by the end of the week.
Earlier today, residents in Barrackpore and other parts of South Trinidad staged fiery protests over bad roads and water supply.
Police had to be deployed as roads were blocked by burning debris.
