Recent heavy rainfall is behind discoloured pipe water in parts of Northeast Trinidad, according to WASA.
In a media release, the company says persons being affected are those served by the Hollis Water Treatment Plant.
It explains that the rains affected lake conditions and resulted in some discoloured water entering the transmission and distribution system.
WASA is now carrying out flushing exercises and is advising anyone still experiencing a discoloured supply to let their taps run until it clears.
Among the areas affected include:
Parts of Arima, D’Abadie and Arouca inclusive Cocorite Road, O’Meara Road, Cleaver Road, Lynton Gardens, Darwill Gardens, La Resource, La Florisante, Lilian Heights, Ridgeview Heights, Riverwood Development, Bon Air North, Bon Air West, Bon Air Gardens, areas along the Eastern Main Road from Arima to Arouca.
