WASA is advising motorists entering Port of Spain to use alternative routes where possible.
This, as work continues to fix a ruptured 12 inch transmission pipeline along the westbound lane of Wrightson Road, in the vicinity of the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
WASA says while work began yesterday, there has been a delay due to the nature of the job, including the proximity of T&TEC underground utility cables.
The repairs are expected to be completed by 10am today, following which the El Socorro Booster Station will be restarted.
Road restoration works meanwhile are projected to be completed by noon today.
Areas of North West Trinidad currently being affected by the water disruption include: Port-of-Spain, Morvant, Westmoorings, Cocorite, St. James, Woodbrook, Cascade, Belmont, Laventille, Gonzales, East Dry River.
