Works on a pipeline behind water problems in Northeast Trinidad have been completed, according to WASA.

The water company says repairs were finished around 8:30pm yesterday at the site in the vicinity of the Santa Rosa Racetrack.

It notes that supply was gradually reopened and pipe borne water is returning to affected communities from La Horquetta in the East, to Five Rivers, Arouca in the West.

However, WASA says it may take up to 48 hours for service to normalize in some of the affected areas.
