Warner promises market, fire station and $1 salary

Jack Warner has kicked off his General Elections campaign with a promise to revive his old salary of one dollar per month, if elected as the MP for Lopinot/Bon Air West.

Mr. Warner is contesting the seat where he resides, under the ILP banner.

Last evening, he held a cottage meeting following walkabouts in the area.

“For five years from 2010 to 2015, I worked for $1 a month, and I promise for the next five years I shall again work for $1 a month. For five years [from 2020 to 2025] my salary shall amount to $60. Because I came here to give, not to get. I came here to put back, not to take.”

Mr. Warner also promised to boost the constituency’s infrastructure by installing a Market, a Fire Station and a Library.
