Vasant Bharath says while change sometimes seems unnatural, it is needed if the UNC is to move forward.
Mr Bharath held a media conference today, to give more information on his decision to contest the post of political leader in the party’s upcoming internal election carded for December 6th.
He took issue with the UNC’s approach to the recent General Election, in particular, the selection of Ahloy Hunt and David Nakhid to contest seats.
According to Mr Bharath, both men are not members of the party, and should not have been selected, as that was a direct breach of the UNC’s constitution.
Moving forward, the former St Augustine MP has no official slate, however he welcomed proposals from those within the party, who would like to join him.
