UWI campus principal tells graduates: Help better more mature society

UWI St Augustine Campus Principal, Prof. Brian Copeland

The UWI students who are graduating from the class of 2020 are being urged to help develop more emotionally mature and just society.

Principal of the St Augustine Campus Professor Brian Copeland, in addressing graduates today congratulated them for surviving a recession, a pandemic and the lock-down.

However, he challenged them to assist in developing a society that can better address the problems faced today and to lead in the creating a network of foreign exchange earning enterprises.

Professor Copeland warns that society cannot survive if it implodes because of a large income gap, poverty or the hatred he says was seen during the Capitol riots last week.
